Software Licence Conditions
SIDRA SOLUTIONS software is supplied under the terms of a software licence agreement. The software licence is non-transferable. It cannot be passed on, rented or leased, to another Site (Office) of the same or any other organisation. A Licence Contact person must be nominated for each licensed organisation.
There are three Licence Types available, namely Small Office , Medium Office and Large Office ( Single Site or Multi-Site ). Special restrictions apply to the Educational licence. Please choose the Licence Type appropriate for your organisation carefully. Consult us if you need any clarification.

Site (Office) Definition
A SIDRA SOLUTIONS software licence is restricted to a single "Site (Office)" and a separate licence must be purchased for the use of the software in each separate Site (Office) of an organisation. Each licence can be a Small Office, Medium Office or Large Office licence.
Large organisations are encouraged to apply for a Large Office Multi-Site licence to cover a number of Sites of the same organisation.
A separate Site (Office) is defined as an organisational / functional unit or entity that has a unique function ( department, branch, division, sub-office, group, team, individual consulting office, etc. ) usually, but not necessarily, at a different physical location. This means that a Site (Office) is EITHER a separate organisational / functional unit OR part of an organisational / functional unit which operates at a different geographic / physical location.
For example :
- Offices of a consultancy firm or a government agency in different geographical locations are separate Sites (Offices).
- Sections A and B of Department M working in the same headquarters building would be two separate Sites (Offices).
- A special design team (unit) in Section A of Department M working in the same area of the headquarters building (like the rest of Section A staff) is considered to be a third separate Site (Office).
- A group of staff belonging to Section A of Department M but working at a different street address is a fourth separate Site (Office).
- An outsourced office (service provision on an ongoing basis under contract) is a separate office of the organisation providing the service. An organisation providing the outsourced service needs a separate licence for its own use of the software for purposes other than the outsourcing arrangement.
Licence Contact Person
A Licence Contact person must be nominated to represent the licensed organisation for licence administration. This person will be responsible for:
- receiving and keeping the software CD and related material,
- receiving and keeping a record of the User ID and Serial Number for registration of end users within the licensed organisation (this information must be kept for future use, and a service fee may apply for reissuing it),
- receiving and keeping the licence agreement letter as a legal document stating the specific conditions of licence agreement,
- coordinating use of the software by other staff in the organisation in accordance with the licence agreement (responsible for all sites in the case of Large Office Multi-Site licence),
- managing COVER renewal,
- receiving notices, and distributing them to other staff in the organisation, and
- informing Akcelik & Associates about any changes in Site (Office) details.
Registering
To register and activate the SIDRA SOLUTIONS software, you require a User ID and a Serial Number. The Licence Contact person nominated for the organisation must keep this information for registration of end users within the licensed organisation.
All registration details are confidential, and must not be given to any third party including the Reseller when purchasing through a Reseller (available for sales outside Australia and New Zealand only).
Akcelik and Associates will observe the confidentiality of the information supplied by the Licensee for the licence purchase and registration purposes. Akcelik and Associates may pass some of this information to its representatives as relevant, who will observe the confidentiality of such information.
User Guide
User Guides for SIDRA SOLUTIONS software are installed with the software for direct access from the software menu (Help - User Guide).
The software licence permits printing of the User Guide for the licensee's own use only. The User Guide is a RESTRICTED DOCUMENT for use under the SIDRA SOLUTIONS software licence only. Printed copies of the guide may not be placed in any public library, may not be rented, loaned, distributed or reproduced by any means.
Some or all sections of a printed User Guide will become outdated with the release of each version of the software. The electronic copy installed with the software is always the most up-to-date version of the User Guide.
Reseller
Reselling SIDRA SOLUTIONS products is NOT allowed in AUSTRALIA or NEW ZEALAND. If you have been requested to purchase a licence for a customer in Australia or New Zealand, please advise your customer to apply to Akcelik & Associates directly.
Reselling the SIDRA SOLUTIONS software products outside Australia and New Zealand is allowed subject to a written permission from Akcelik and Associates Pty Ltd. This permission will only be given subject to a number of conditions. See
